Here is an overview of frequently asked questions about video and film production. If you have any other questions we hope you will contact us.
GENERAL
All open positions are listed under ‘Team’. You can then send us an email to office@mountainmaster.at
The length of an image film should not be longer than a viewer’s attention span. Two minutes has proven to be optimal because the viewer can’t do anything else and needs to fully concentrate on the video while it is showing. The first ten to fifteen seconds should pull the viewer in and attract his interest for the entire image film.
But of course! Personal consultation is very important to us because that is the only way to ensure that you will get the film that you envision. Our experienced film production company is available for that at any time, and there is no charge for you.
Yes. No one knows your company, product, target audience and market situation as well as you do. We want you to participate in the film project.
You contact us and schedule a consultation. We like to come to your location where you can tell us how we can help you and what you have in mind. We then prepare an offer and rough concept as quickly as possible. As soon as you accept our offer, we can prepare the script. When you are satisfied with our work and all the organisational details have been arranged, the filming of your video can begin. After the filming, editing and post-production work of your film is finished, we show you the first version. If it does not completely meet your expectations, we revise it until you are fully satisfied. As soon as you give it the okay, we finish it in the format you requested and release it to you.

That depends on the size of the job to a great extent. But normally, one to two weeks. However, there are jobs which can be completed in a few days or, in some cases, even on the same day.
You have the rights to your film. Some film production companies view it differently and require annual payments, but that is not the case with us.
Depending on the project, we may use music that requires royalty payments (= copyrighted music). But it is also possible to use cheaper, royalty-free music in your image film if you would like. If you would like original music composed for your project, the rights will be clarified before beginning.
Of course! We design the image film so that it is in harmony with your marketing strategy and your company philosophy

COST
That is difficult to say in general because a film involves so many different things which individual calculation. To give you a concrete price, we would need to talk to you personally. However, we can give you a rough idea of what it would cost in an email or over the phone.
Film production costs generally are comprised of the following: Wages, equipment costs, post-production, pre-production and expenses.
Yes. Less expensive but good videos can be made simply by eliminating certain things.
Only starting from a certain size production. As soon as investment or expenses for things such as casting, air tickets, etc. are needed, they must be paid in advance.
We charge 0.42 EUR / km. That is the kilometre price specified by BMF. However, travel charges are usually only billed for actual filming, not for consultations or meetings.
No. Consultations are free whether or not you give us a contract.
FILMING
That depends on the video being made. Our smallest team for an image film comprises 3 people: The director, the camera person and the lighting technician. Normally, there are about 6 people, with no upper limit. However, for events, sometimes 2 people are sufficient.
We use the cameras that make the most sense for the particular film we are producing. Primarily we use the Sony FS7 with 4K resolution as well as the RED with a resolution of maximum 6K. That puts us at the state of the art. You can find more information on this under Services.
POST-PRODUCTION
Of course! Any kind of formats for videos, photos, music, and graphics are no problem for us.
We develop a film idea in our pre-production meeting with you. As soon as this is concrete, we give you some suggestions for the music that we think would best highlight your film and reflect the mood. If you decide that you don’t like the music, we can change it at any time.
The narrator voice should be appropriate for your target audience which is why we recommend a joint decision.
AFTER THE FILMING
Of course! Quite a bit can be changed on your image film, advertising video or other video during post-production.
You can receive your film in any format you wish.
You can receive it as a DVD, Blu-Ray or simply as a digital file.
Yes. Any changes that can be made in post-production can also be made retroactively. We want you to be fully satisfied with your image film.
We store the video material at our facility so that it is available for your next project or if you should decide to have another version of your image film made.
No. We are specialised in producing videos and films. There are other firms that specialise in promoting films. However, we are glad to give you tips if needed.
